OUR STORY

How it started

CHALKED was founded by three friends — Pelayo, Joel, and Jonas — who met years ago through pool tournaments held around Spain. They come from three very different places: Pelayo from Asturias, Joel from Barcelona, and Jonas from Ibiza. Between the three of them, they've been playing for almost 40 years combined.

They didn't grow up together, and they didn't plan on starting a brand. It happened gradually, after years of running into each other at the same events, staying in touch, and realizing they shared more than just a hobby — they shared a way of seeing things.

Over time, they noticed something was missing: there wasn't a clothing brand out there that really represented the culture around the sport they loved. Everything felt either too traditional or too generic. Nothing felt like them. So they decided to create it themselves, starting with a handful of designs and no real plan beyond wanting to make something honest.

What we're about

CHALKED is a streetwear brand designed for people who live this lifestyle — on and off the table. We care about good design, quality pieces, and staying true to where the brand came from.

We're not trying to be a big factory brand. Every order that comes in is packed and shipped by the three of us, by hand. It's slower that way, but it means we're actually involved in every part of the process — from the first sketch of a design to the moment it lands at someone's door.

That closeness is intentional. We'd rather grow slowly and keep control over the quality and the story than rush into something that stops feeling like ours.

Just getting started

This is still an early chapter for us. We're a small team, building this one design, one order, and one decision at a time — and we're figuring a lot of it out as we go.

What hasn't changed since day one is why we started: we wanted something real, made by people who actually live this, not just a logo attached to a trend. That's still what CHALKED is about.

Thanks for being here, and for being part of it this early.
